smART Reverse Transcriptase is a polymerase with reduced RNase H activity and increased thermal stability and processivity in the range of 37°C to 65°C . The use of the more thermostable reverse transcriptase, where reactions are performed at higher temperatures, can be very helpful when dealing with RNA that contains high amounts of secondary structure. smART is used for the preparation of cDNA libraries or for first strand cDNA synthesis for use in RT-PCR and RT-qPCR reactions. smART Reverse Transcriptase gives higher cDNA yields. Ideal for cloning and diagnostic purposes targets up to 7 kbp.
